This particular portable optical microscope is available in two versions: optical and video. Both use the same stand, which is very robust (completely in aluminum), and they are provided with high intensity light with dimmer, indispensable in the precision focus of cracks or to explore and measure the cells of anilox, rotogravure, flexo, etc. printing cylinders.
The optical DMM is provided with objective lens and eyepiece to reach the desired magnification (20, 40, 60, 100, 150, 200 e 300x). The objective lenses and the eyepieces are interchangeable (in the optical version they have a screw mount).
The choice of the most suitable version depends from the type of the use; the tables below help in the correct choice.
For example, the optical DMM 300X version is able to perform linear measurements on an area of 0.4mm with a precision up to 0.001 mm on the "X" axis and 0.05mm on the "Z" axis, while with the optical DMM 100X the user can perform linear measurements with approximations of 0.01 mm (0.0005") in a field of view of 1.2 mm, and he will be able to rely on a precision of 0.08 mm in "Z" axis measurement. If you wish to have a larger "X-Y" measure area, and at the same time the possibility to have high magnifications in order to obtain a precise focus and then a perfect measure of "Z" axis, it will be necessary to opt for the video DMM, whose the available interchangeable objective lenses range from 25X to 2350X (referred to a 15" monitor).
The optical DMM is supplied with a lithium rechargeable battery with a USB cable (to be powered by the PC) or 5V power supplied. No cables hamper during the use of the instruments.
The video DMM does not have batteries included, because the power of the lighting system is directly provided from the camera, which is connected to the PC by a USB cable.
Video DMM is supported from all of ours two available software (Video View Light or Video View Basic) that make it more interesting in the various productive sectors for the following characteristics:
- Excellent quality of images
- Practicality, transportability and robustness of the instrument
- Absence of batteries and power packs for the lighting (power supply is provided by the camera)
- Only one USB cable supplying all the system
- The available objective lenses are 13 and they range from 25X to 2350X
- With high magnifications it is possible to have a high precision control of the focus and then of the measure on the "Z" axis
- Professional and user friendly software for measures and control quality
